Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing or using CVisto ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is licensed to you, not sold. These Terms apply together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies to the extent required. The App is provided by Tuğberk Tabak ("we", "us"), not by Apple.

2. Service Description

CVisto is an application for creating, editing and exporting resumes (CVs) and cover letters. The App allows you to:

• Create resumes using templates, and export them as PDF or images
• Import existing resumes from PDF files, paper scans or a LinkedIn data export
• Check your resume against common Applicant Tracking System (ATS) rules
• Write cover letters and job application emails
• Use AI writing assistance (on-device and, for Pro subscribers, cloud AI)
• Access premium ("Pro") features through optional subscriptions

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Your Content

All resumes, cover letters, photos and other information you create or enter in the App ("Your Content") remain yours. We do not claim any ownership of Your Content. Your Content is stored on your device; see our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for Your Content, including its accuracy and truthfulness. You agree not to use the App to create documents that are fraudulent, misleading, infringe the rights of others, or are otherwise unlawful, such as false qualifications, fake employment history or impersonation of another person.

Because Your Content is stored locally, you are responsible for keeping backups. We are not able to recover content that is lost if you delete the App, lose or reset your device.

5. AI Features

The App offers AI writing features. Some run on your device using Apple's on-device models. Cloud AI features, available with a Pro subscription, are powered by Claude, a third-party AI model provided by Anthropic PBC.

• Consent: your text is sent to the cloud AI service only after you give explicit permission inside the App. You can withdraw this permission at any time in the App's Settings. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
• Review all output: AI-generated text may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. It is a suggestion, not professional career, legal or HR advice. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and confirming that any text you use is true and accurate before using it.
• Acceptable use: you agree not to use the AI features to generate unlawful, harmful, deceptive or abusive content, and not to attempt to misuse, overload, reverse engineer or bypass the limits of the AI service. You must also follow Anthropic's Usage Policy.
• AI credits: cloud AI features use "AI credits". Each subscription period includes the number of credits shown in the App at the time of purchase. Different features use a different number of credits, as shown in the App. Unused credits reset at the end of each period, do not roll over, have no cash value and cannot be transferred or refunded. If a request fails, no credits are used.
• Availability: AI features depend on third-party services and an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable, slow, limited or changed.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

The App can be used for free with limited features. Additional features, including cloud AI writing, are available with an optional auto-renewable subscription ("CVisto Pro"), offered as a weekly or yearly plan. The features, AI credits, price and billing period of each plan are shown in the App before you subscribe.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) after purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Free trials: if a free trial is offered, it is shown in the App before you subscribe. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you will be charged automatically. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Prices may vary by country and may include taxes. If a price changes, Apple will inform you as required and you may cancel before the change takes effect.
• Purchases can be restored on the same Apple ID using "Restore Purchases" in the App.

We do not collect or store your payment information. Purchases are processed by Apple, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat.

7. Templates and Third-Party Content

Templates, designs and example texts in the App are provided for your personal use in creating your own documents. The App may refer to third-party services (such as LinkedIn) only to help you import your own data; we are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by them, and their terms apply to your use of their services.

8. No Guarantee of Results

CVisto helps you prepare job application documents. We do not guarantee that you will get interviews, job offers or any other outcome. ATS scores and suggestions are estimates based on general rules and may not reflect how a specific employer or system evaluates your resume.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, templates, graphics, logos, icons and text (excluding Your Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works from the App, except as permitted by law or the Standard EULA.

10. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the App available and working well, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, change, suspend or discontinue features at any time, for example due to maintenance, technical issues, changes by third-party providers or legal requirements.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, employment opportunities, profits or revenue, arising from or related to your use of the App, including:

• errors, inaccuracies or omissions in AI-generated text, templates or ATS suggestions;
• loss of locally stored resumes, letters or photos;
• decisions made by employers or recruiters;
• temporary unavailability of the App or third-party services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device (remember to cancel any active subscription in your Apple ID settings). We may suspend or end your access to the App's online services, including AI features, if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

14. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is handled, how the AI features work and how to request deletion.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date shows when they last changed. Continued use of the App after the updated Terms become effective means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the App and cancel your subscription.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
